If you're looking for a terrific vacation, there's no reason to leave your own country. American vacations offer sights and attractions that you can't find anywhere else in the globe. Sunny states like Texas, Louisiana, Arizona, Florida and California have more than enough warmth for those sun-worshipers among us, and for those who love skiing - Alaska vacations or a ski trip to the states of Colorado or New York offers plenty of world class hills to conquer.
There are plenty of great American vacations that come to mind if you take a minute to consider the possibilities. You can visit Las Vegas for the nightlife, shopping and casinos while catching plenty of sun and heat. Then to top it off you can visit the Grand Canyon or the Hoover dam. Air fares are very affordable and there's plenty to see even if you're not into the whole gambling thing.
Florida is another great American destination that comes to mind, especially in those cold winter months. You can get your fill of beaches, nightlife and golf courses plus there's plenty of entertainment for the kids as well. Fort Lauderdale vacations inevitably end up with the mandatory visit to Walt Disney World, Epcot Center and the many water parks that are in the area. With so much to see it can be hard to squeeze all of the sights in with only a one week stay. American resorts just don't get any better.
Also consider a trip to see Niagara Falls in New York State. This has long been a popular honeymoon destination but is great for families as well. Experience the breath taking view of the falls and consider making your trip a North American vacation by crossing over to see the Canadian side of the falls as well. You'll find casinos and plenty of other diversions to see while you're there!
New England provides a great destination for those who like to have a driving vacation with gorgeous scenery and historic architecture. You can easily spend several days exploring Boston, Bar Harbor and especially Cape Cod. It's often possible to arrange accommodations in American vacation homes or bed and breakfasts to live the full experience.
